Albemarle Australia, the nation’s largest producer and manufacturer of lithium, has celebrated another important milestone with the official opening of its new Bunbury office in Western Australia’s South West.
A formal event was held at the 7 Wellington Street premise in Bunbury’s Central Business District on Wednesday evening to mark the occasion.
More than 70 distinguished guests attended, including Federal, State and Local Government representatives, the Mayor of Bunbury, prominent Aboriginal leaders and local business organisations.
The building was transformed into a modern, comfortable and efficient work environment in just two months.
The open-plan layout spans 3200m² over two levels, and includes dedicated spaces for meetings, a large conference room, facilities for caregivers and parents, and areas to host training sessions, and business and stakeholder events.
Albemarle Australia Country Manager Beverley East said it was exciting to have a practical and dynamic space for the company’s rapidly growing workforce.
“Albemarle has secured a four-year lease on the building, establishing a solid presence in the South West's largest city as expansion work at the nearby Kemerton Lithium Hydroxide Plant continues,” Ms East said.
“The expansion reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its connection with the Bunbury community and shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.”
